First: a terrific daylong program coming up on May 7th – the cross-generational Our Life Stories conference co-sponsored by Hart Senior Center and Cosumnes River College. Scheduled workshops taught by an array of great local writer-instructors include topics in poetry and fiction, autobiographical narrative/memoir, interviewing, character development, self-publishing, and the AWA method. This affordable ($30) daylong program includes lunch and is open for registrations through April 22 – so get right on it if you’re interested in registering, because space is limited.
Second: Pat Schneider, author of Writing Alone And With Others and founder of Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA), will be in Sacramento for a public reading and discussion Saturday, April 16, on the first floor of the Sutter Cancer Center at 28th & L streets. Pat will begin the program at 7:00 p.m. and will sign books at the event, which is free and open to the public.
