First, I’ll be reading at this year’s Lit Crawl, the madcap finale to San Francisco’s annual LitQuake festival (which starts today). The Crawl features 450 readers at 79 readings all over the Mission, all in one night. I’m reading with some fellow contributors to Fourteen Hills and Eleven Eleven during the third (and final) phase of the Crawl. (To see the entire 2011 Lit Crawl schedule, click here. >>>Saturday, October 15, 8:30 PM, at Press: Works on Paper (3492 22nd Street, SF)
Second, I’d like to invite you all to the release party for OPEN WINTER, where I’ll be reading as a guest of Andy Jones’ longstanding Poetry Night series. The evening is actually sort of a double-release celebration, as the 2011 volume of Best New Poets (which features a poem of mine) will be coming out pretty much simultaneously. (To read the Flavorwire article about this year’s volume of BNP, click here.) I couldn’t be happier to be celebrating the release of these two publications here at home. Libations, poems, booksales & booksigning, the works.
>>>Thursday, November 17, 8 PM, at the John Natsoulas Gallery (521 First Street, Davis)
Looking forward to seeing you!
