The upcoming summer sessions of my CREATIVE NONFICTION workshop in Sacramento and MASTER WORKSHOP FOR POETS in Davis are officially open for registration–and for the first time in years they’ll both be short sessions, as I’ll be on sabbatical for the second half of the summer.
The upcoming session of my long-term, ongoing CREATIVE NONFICTION workshop will (like all that have preceded it in this workshop’s now twelve-year history) provide you with regular deadlines and inspirations for your new writing and lots of feedback to support its development moving forward. We read, we write, and in summer we hold court in one of the most paradisical backyards in all of Sacramento. It’s a good time. Curious? Here are some more details about how we roll. Meets Wednesday nights 6:30–8:30 PM, April 29—June 10, at a lovely private home in East Sac.
The MASTER WORKSHOP FOR POETS is a deeply generative workshop filled with brilliantines of all kinds: we write brand-new poems every single week and share drafts with great frequency, which means that you can expect a significant acceleration of your creative growth, and in all likelihood some real transformation of your creative process–as well as a great opportunity to bend your own zones of resistance in ways that might transform more than your poetry. This group is capped and intimate. More details are available here. Meets Tuesday nights 6-8 PM, April 28—June 9 in Davis.
(SCRIBE LAB, my online cross-genre offering for writers all over the world, will open for registration again in June for the next six-month-long session stretching July-to-December 2015. I’m happy to chat before then with anyone who’s interested in seeing what that space is about or discussing how it might serve a deepening writing life—just email me or check out some general info here.)
Interested in jumping in? Drop me an email at email@example.com to request the registration form (please specify for which workshop!), which covers all the rest of the details. The registration deadline (which is an in-my-hands deadline, not a postmark deadline) is next Friday, April 17th; early registration is *strongly* encouraged.
Happy spring, everyone–I hope wherever you are this Sunday that it’s exactly where you most want to be.
